MS Word will display the second footer at the bottom of the page, right after the first footnote:Īs you keep adding more footnotes MS Word numbers and lists them as a numbered list, automatically creating whatever space is needed at the bottom of the page. Place your cursor to the second point where you want the second footnote number to appear. As soon as you click on the Insert Footnote command, MS Word will superscript a number by the selected text. Alternatively, press Ctrl+ Alt+F on the keyboard. Go to Reference > Footnotes > Insert Footnote. Select the text you want the footnote to reference.
